All In Good Time (2012)
Wednesday 22nd August 2012
All In Good Time, the hugely warm-hearted comic tale, centred around a close knit, larger-than-life British Asian family living in present day Bolton is released on DVD and Blu-Ray by StudioCanal on 24th September 2012, and stars Reece Ritchie (The Lovely Bones) and Amara Karan (The Darjeeling Limited) as Atul Dutt and his young bride Vina, for whom the first taste of married life is proving far from straightforward.
The wedding feast is over and spending the night at his parent's home, when it's finally time for bed, Atul is so woefully inhibited by the proximity of his parents, not to mention his brother's childish pranks, that his beautiful virgin bride remains just that.
When their hard-earned honeymoon is cancelled the day after the wedding, the newlyweds have no choice but to return to the Dutt household and set up home there. As prying family members and gossipy neighbours intefere and keep the couple from consummating their marriage, Atul and Vina start to panic. But if they can just keep their situation private and if they can just get a bit of time alone, all could be saved for this pair.
Adapted for the big screen from the Olivier award winning play Rafta Rafta by Ayub Khan Din (East is East), Harish Patel (Run Fatboy Run) and Meera Syal (Anita & Me) reprise their roles as Atul's parents from the stage play, Eeshwar and Lopa. All In Good Time is directed by Nigel Cole (Calendar Girls, Made In Dagenham) and produced by Oscar nominated Andy Harries (The Queen) and Suzanne Mackie (Calendar Girls, Kinky Boots).
