Fifty years later, the assassination of President John F. Kennedy is still one of the most talked about moments in world history. On 4th November 2013, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment will commemorate this tragic chapter by honouring one of the most influential US presidents with the release of the director's cut of JFK on Blu-ray and Digital HD. Debuting in pristine high-definition quality, Director Oliver Stone's ground-breaking and highly-charged movie - that garnered Academy Award and Golden Globe wins - is a must-have addition to film fans home media collections.

"The death of JFK continues to be a defining moment in US history and the loss of this visionary man is still felt around the world", commented Stone. "Being able to present my film now on Blu-ray magnifies the story I was trying to tell."

This ultimate high-definition presentation of JFK is a must have for film fans' home media collections. The Blu-ray features an extended Director's Cut with audio commentary, deleted scenes and refreshed packaging, perfect for holiday gifting.

JFK is considered one of the most provocative films of our time. Stone's historical drama stars Kevin Costner and features a powerful supporting cast, including Tommy Lee Jones, Kevin Bacon, Gary Oldman, Sissy Spacek, Joe Pesci, Donald Sutherland, Jack Lemmon and Ed Asner.

Upon examining the Warren Commission report on President Kennedy's assassination, New Orleans district attorney Jim Garrison (Costner) suspects that there is more to the story than the public is being told. In addition to box-office success and critical acclaim, JFK captured eight Academy Award® nominations (including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Supporting Actor), winning two (Best Cinematography and Film Editing). It also won Stone a Best Director (Motion Picture, 1992) Golden Globe® and ultimately played a major role in the US national debate that lead to passage of the 1992 Assassination Materials Disclosure Act.
