Jumper (2008)
Wednesday 11th June 2008
Anywhere. Anything. Instantly. The evolution of the action thriller takes its biggest leap yet with the adrenaline-packed adventure Jumper on DVD and Blu-ray on 16th June 2008 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. From the director of The Bourne Identity and Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Jumper stars Hayden Christensen, Jamie Bell, Rachel Bilson and Samuel L Jackson.
Based on the best selling sci-fi novel by Stephen Gould, Jumper tells the story of David (Christensen, Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, Awake) a young man who discovers he has the uncanny ability to teleport, or "jump" anywhere, at anytime, instantly. Directed by the award-winning Doug Liman, Jumper follows David's adventures as he puts his new-found skills to the test leading a carefree, wealthy lifestyle where anything is possible.
Spending his time enjoying the finer things in life, from sunbathing on top of the pyramids in Egypt to surfing in Fiji, David's idyllic world is interrupted when he realizes that his talent is not as unique as he first thought. Pursued by Roland, (Jackson, Unbreakable, Snakes on a Plane), whose mission in life is to destroy jumpers, David finds himself at the centre of a war that has been raging for thousands of years.
Determined to fight for survival and the woman he loves (Bilson, The O.C., The Last Kiss), David joins forces with fellow jumper Griffin (Bell, King Kong, Flags of our Fathers), taking the battle between jumpers and paladins to every corner of the globe.
Packed with non-stop action and extraordinary special effects, Jumper takes the audience on a rollercoaster ride with thrilling special features on both the DVD and Blu-ray. The DVD is loaded with all-new bonus material including deleted scenes, behind-the-scenes featurettes, an animated graphic novel and an audio commentary by the director and producers.
