Steve Carell is working nine to five in the fourth season of the Emmy award winning series The Office: An American Workplace. The hugely successful US spin-off from comedy power team Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant's BBC mockumentary is now yours to own from 29th March 2010 from Universal Playback.
Executively produced by Gervais and Merchant, The Office: An American Workplace takes a painfully funny look at the interactions of the cubicle jockeys at Dunder Mifflin paper supply company in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Golden Globe winner Steve Carell (The 40-Year Old Virgin) stars as unctuous regional manager Michael Scott who hosts the documentary crew on a tour of the workplace. Jenna Fischer (Walk Hard), John Krasinski (Jarhead, Kinsey), Rainn Wilson (Six Feet Under), and B.J. Novak (Punk'd) star as the employees who tolerate Michael's inappropriate behaviour only because he signs their pay checks.
Office gossip abounds in Season Four with Karen leaving the Scranton branch after her breakup with Jim; An unemployed Jan moves in with Michael; Dwight attempts to euthanize Angela's ailing cat without her permission; Ryan develops a drug problem and attempts to modernise Dunder Mifflin with a new website for online sales; he also learns that his boss, David Wallace, favours Jim, and thus attempts to sabotage Jim's career. Kelly moves on from her relationship with Ryan and briefly starts dating Darryl and Toby, embarrassed after accidentally revealing affection for Pam, announces he is moving to Costa Rica, and is replaced by Holly Flax, who quickly shows fondness towards Michael.
