Earl Hickey (Jason Lee) - the man who believes so strongly in Karma that he has set out to right a whole list of his life's wrongs - returns to the small screen on 28th January 2008 as the second season of the award winning TV series My Name is Earl is released on DVD, courtesy of Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.
Season two joins newly reformed trailer park reprobate Earl who, following the win of a small lottery in season one, has had something of an epiphany, causing him to embark on a life changing journey to make amends for his past. Randy (Ethan Suplee), Earls rather dim-witted brother, is his faithful companion and travels with him throughout his quest to correct his transgressions.
Also Joining Earl in his pursuit to cleanse his karma are a few friends; the sexy Catalina (Nadine Velazquez) a jumping stripper and cleaner at the motel where Earl and Randy reside, Darnell (Eddie Steeples), the owner of the Crab Shack where Earl drinks beer, and Earl's ex-wife Joy (Jaime Pressly), nail technician and trailer-trash queen who won?t lift a finger to help unless there is something in it for her.
In addition to the regular cast, My Name Is Earl: Season 2 also features a diverse range of guest appearances, including Christian Slater, who plays a stoner-turned-environmentalist whom Earl and Randy robbed years ago, and Roseanne Barr, who plays Millie, the woman Earl tricks into thinking he?s God.
Among the other guest stars are; Jenny McCarthy, who plays a hot gym instructor, Amy Sedaris, an obsessive cat lover, John Waters, an eccentric funeral director, Judy Greer, a bearded lady, and John Leguizamo, Diego the hostage-taker.
Despite his limited intelligence, Earl is successful in crossing off a number of wrong doings from his list, including number 12 "made a lady think I was God", number 26 "robbed a stoner blind" and number 101 "stole a girl?s identity" to name but a few. However, Earl does hit a few hurdles along the way when he is kidnapped by gunmen, refused application for a credit card and embroiled in Joy?s ongoing court case.
The Season 2 DVD is also packed with exclusive material and extras including; Audio commentaries on a number of episodes with Greg Garcia (creator / executive producer), Jason Lee (Earl), and Ethan Suplee (Randy), a blooper reel, deleted scene outtakes, a featurette on the "Stoner" episode and a brief video of what Earl would look like if it were a telenovela.
