When a mysterious young man (Iko Uwais) jolts awake after months in a coma from a gunshot wound to the head, he is nursed back to health by a young student doctor, Ailin. Realising he has lost his memory, she renames him Ishmael, and the two soon grow closer.

But it's not long before their lives collide with a gang of dangerous criminals led by an enigmatic crimelord known simply as Lee, and when Ailin is violently taken, Ishmael has no choice but to confront his past, awakening a dark truth and lethal personality within him...
