Shot like a fly-on-the-wall documentary, released on DVD on 12th January 2015 by FremantleMedia International, returning for a second series, Suspects is a fresh and original British procedural crime drama set in London that tackles difficult subjects in a gritty and real way.
The second series brings viewers two dramatic story arcs.
The first installment sees detective Bellamy and her team investigate a murder enquiry of her neighbour and barrister, Jonathan Moxton. Believed to be part of a sex game gone wrong, suspicion swiftly mounts on Saul Hammond, the man who found him. After the death of a student, whose wounds mimic those of Moxton, it's up to the team to decipher who's covering who, and who indeed is the killer.
In the second high profile case for Detective Bellamy and her team, a have a go hero is left for dead. Initially assuming he has become the victim of his own target, the team set out to crack the case uncovering a shocking and prolific paedophile ring - a race to find a potential killer becomes a harrowing struggle to save a young boy from a web of abuse.
With guest star appearances from Charlie Brooks (Eastenders) and Dominic Power (Emmerdale).
Suspects continues to tackle bold and difficult subject matters in a highly engaging way in Series Two. Featuring exceptional acting skill from Faye Ripley, Damien Molony and Clare-Hope Ashitey, this is British TV drama at its best. It's compelling entertainment that hits all the right marks with critics.
