HBO Video presents the emotional drama Hysterical Blindness starring Uma Thurman (Golden Globe winner), Juliette Lewis and Gena Rowlands. From highly acclaimed former Bollywood director Mira Nair (Monsoon Wedding), Hysterical Blindness is available to buy on DVD 8th March 2004 from Warner Home Video.

Best friends Debby (Uma Thurman) and Beth (Juliette Lewis) have issues with men, namely their inability to find good ones. Constantly scouring the 1980's working class New Jersey world of diners and local bars, the two girls stoop to desperate yet hilarious measures in their unrelenting attempts to find 'Mr Perfect'. Then there's Beth's mother (Gena Rowlands) also trying to find a meaningful relationship that will give value to her own mundane existence. It's going to take a moment of Hysterical Blindness to aid them on their quest.

Uma Thurman needs no introduction as an actress of enormous talent, excelling in a variety of roles including Pulp Fiction, The Truth About Cats And Dogs and recent box office hit Kill Bill Volume I. Uma won a Golden Globe for her arresting portrayal of Debby Miller in Hysterical Blindness.

Juliette Lewis is recognised as one of Hollywood's most gifted and versatile actresses of her generation, giving powerful performances in a number of films including Cape Fear, Natural Born Killers and My Louisiana Sky.

Gena Rowlands turns out a typically captivating performance. No surprise for an actress as experienced as they come, having a film career now spanning forty-five years.
