Directed by Garry Marshall (Pretty Woman, The Princess Diaries) starring Hollywood treasure Dame Julie Andrews and the charming and kookie Anne Hathaway, this is an hilarious romantic comedy to charm the whole family.

The story begins with Mia (Anne Hathaway) ready to assume her role as princess of Genovia. No sooner has she moved into the Royal Palace with her beautiful, wise grandmother Queen Clarisse (Julie Andrews) she learns that she is expected to take the crown of Queen earlier than expected. As if getting ready to rule wasn’t enough, the stakes for Mia have never been higher – as Genovian law states that princesses must be married before being crowned. With help from her quirky but loyal best friend Lilly (Heather Matarazzo) Mia has to find a suitor in only 30 days!

Although the perfectly acceptable Lord Andrew Jacoby (Callum Blue) is in the running, sparks fly between Mia and the roguish Lord Nicholas Devereux (Chris Pine) from the start – but will his villainous Uncle (John Rhys-Davies) plotting to steal the throne spell trouble for the young princess?

Anne Hathaway's cheery and charming spirit as Princess Mia is infectious. Utterly natural and relaxed, she glides effortlessly between slapstick and elegance. Julie Andrews is regal in her befitting role as Queen Clarisse and an added bonus in the film is the rare chance to hear Julie sing again, making her co-starring role even more special in this tale.

Synopsis

Following on from The Princess Diaries, Mia Thermopolis (Anne Hathaway), now a high school graduate, is on her way to Genovia to take up her duties as princess. But her complicated life is turned upside down once again when she not only learns that she is to take the crown as queen earlier than expected, but to take her place as ruler, she must marry within 30 days!

Guided by the current queen and her grandmother Queen Clarisse (Julie Andrews) Mia sets about finding the perfect suitor. On the one hand, there’s the perfectly acceptable Lord Andrew Jacoby (Callum Blue) but on the other hand, chemistry fizzes with the roguish Lord Nicholas Devereux (Chris Pine) –but complications arise when it is found out that Nicholas’ villainous uncle (John Rhys-Davies) plots to steal the throne!
