Miss Bala (2011)

Following on from its critically acclaimed cinema release, and the official Mexican entry of the 2011 best foreign language film Oscar, Miss Bala is released on DVD on 20th February 2012 from Metrodome.

Directed by Gerardo Naranjo (I'm Gonna Explode) and loosely based on a real incident in which 2008's Miss Sinaloa, Laura Zúñiga, was arrested with suspected gang members in a truck filled with munitions outside Guadalajara, Jalisco, Miss Bala features a stunning debut performance from Stephanie Sigman as Laura, a young aspiring beauty queen who finds her dream turned against her when she unwillingly gets involved with a criminal group at war in today's lawless Mexico.

Miss Bala is an explosive, riveting and thought-provoking thriller that grips like a vice.
