Gravity (2013)

Directed by Oscar nominee Alfonso Cuarón, George Clooney and Sandra Bullock star in the award-winning sci-fi thriller Gravity, released on DVD, Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D on 3rd March 2014, courtesy of Warner Home Video.

Seasoned astronaut Matt Kowalsky (Clooney) is on his final mission in space, while medical engineer Dr. Ryan Stone (Bullock) is making her first outing on the Space Shuttle. While they are engaged in extra-vehicular activity, debris collides into the shuttle, damaging it irreparably. Kowalsky and Stone now find themselves drifting in space with low oxygen supplies and cut off from all communication on Earth. They work together in their attempt to survive but will they make it back to solid ground?

The film has also received 11 BAFTA Award nominations and 10 Critics' Choice Award nominations, both including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actress (Bullock). Cuarón recently received a Golden Globe Award for Best Director. Gravity has also won Best Picture awards from several prestigious critics organisations, including the Producer's Guild, the Los Angeles Film Critics Association, and has been included on 395 critics' and critics groups' top ten lists, as well as being named one of the AFI's ten best films of the year.
