The Comic Strip Presents: The Best Of

Featuring four hilarious and iconic titles brand new to DVD and sixteen of the best original episodes hand-picked by producer and star Peter Richardson, The Comic Strip Presents The Best Of will be released on 7th October 2013.

The ground-shaking impact of The Comic Strip's anarchic humour rattled the televisions of 1980s Britain, and when the smoke cleared they left a gaping crater that lesser comics are still failing into today. The Comic Strip Presents The Best Of features stalwarts of British comedy Keith Allen, Robbie Coltrane, Adrian Edmondson, Dawn French, Rik Mayall, Nigel Planer, Peter Richardson, Jennifer Saunders and Alexei Sayle.

This five disc DVD set includes The Hunt for Tony Blair which was nominated for a British Comedy Award for Best TV Comedy Drama, Five Go To Rehab and Sex Actually, along with the anniversary episode 30 Years Of Comic Strip which includes hilarious new and previously unreleased footage and explores the filming and reception of many of the best of The Comic Strip episodes including interviews with, among others, Simon Pegg, Harry Enfield, Eddie Izzard and former cast and crew. All of these episodes are new to DVD.
