Thanks for Sharing is the hilarious yet moving story of different people's battle with a taboo problem: sex addiction. With stellar performances and an acting debut from international best-selling music star, Alecia Moore, otherwise known as Pink, Thanks for Sharing is a film that lifts the lid on sex addiction - and all the problems that come with it.
The film follows the lives of three friends who meet while attending 12-step meetings to help treat their addiction to sex. Tim Robbins plays Mike, a recovering addict and patriarch of the group whose twenty-something son has returned home after months away struggling with his own issues. Mike's sponsee is Adam (Mark Ruffalo), who has been a success story of the program for six years due mainly to his on-going celibacy.
That is until he starts a relationship with the woman of his dreams, Phoebe (Gwyneth Paltrow), and finds it difficult to control the urges he has suppressed for so long. Together, Mike and Adam befriend an obnoxious young doctor (Josh Gad - Frozen, The Internship) whose uncontrollable addiction is ruining his medical career. Will his newfound friendship with group newcomer Dede (Alecia Moore) be the only thing that will save him from himself?
Directed and co-written by Oscar nominated Stuart Blumberg - writer of the critically acclaimed The Kids are Alright - Thanks for Sharing, released on DVD by Koch Media on 3rd February 2014, is the sharply comic look at sex-addiction, featuring an eclectic cast of Oscar winners and a remarkable debut performance by pop-star Alecia Moore (Pink).
