Maurice Sendak's famous illustrations are brought to life in the faithful adaptation of his hugely popular children's book, Where the Wild Things Are; proudly released onto DVD from 24th September 2007 courtesy of VDI Entertainment.
Also included are 5 other stories all written and illustrated by Maurice Sendak - from The Nutshell Library with music by legendary singer/songwriter Carole King - Alligators All Around, Pierre, One Was Johnny and Chicken Soup with Rice, plus In the Night Kitchen.
When Max is sent to bed without his supper, he sails off to a world inhabited by the weirdest creatures you've ever seen, and becomes King of ALL wild things - that is until he gets hungry! Where the Wild Things Are is currently being made into a film directed by legendary music video director Spike Jonze and is due for release in 2008. Featuring the vocal talents of Academy Award® Winner Forest Whitaker (The Last King of Scotland) and Michelle Williams (Dawson's Creek, Brokeback Mountain), the film is sure to generate further interest in this perennially popular children's tale.
