The Musketeers: Series 2 (2015)

The Musketeers Series 2 and the complete Series 1 & 2 boxset will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on 6th April 2015. All home entertainment releases on BBC ONE's fresh and contemporary take on the much-loved novel by Alexandre Dumas are available to buy from BBC Shop and all other good on-line and high street retailers.

Series 2 sees Marc Warren (Mad Dogs) join the cast to play the Comte De Rochefort, a dashing and persuasive aristocrat, with a talent for sword fighting and betrayal.

"He's the series baddie, and I think audiences like me better as a baddie. I've had enough of playing cheeky chappies, and now I thought I'd go down the baddie route. I had to man up and go to the dark side!" Says Marc Warren.

As the series progresses the true nature of Rochefort's plotting is revealed and everyone around him is drawn into his sinister web. Ultimately only the Musketeers D'Artagnan (Luke Pasqualino - Skins, The Borgias), Athos (Tom Burke - Great Expectations, The Hour), Aramis (Santiago Cabrera - Merlin, Heroes) and Porthos (Howard Charles - Royal Shakespeare Company) their loyal allies and friends stand between him and a desperate act that will change all their lives forever.

Extras on both DVD and Blu-ray releases include behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with cast and crew that take a closer look at the incredible skill, special effects and craftsmanship that goes in to the making of the series, entitled Secrets of The Musketeers.
