Jigsaw's increasingly elaborate games continue in 4K this November as Lionsgate brings Darren Lynn Bousman's Saw III back to UK home entertainment in a new Limited Edition 4K Ultra HD SteelBook.

Following the events of Saw II, John Kramer (Tobin Bell) has once again disappeared from the authorities, accompanied by his increasingly unstable apprentice Amanda Young (Shawnee Smith). But while the police continue their search for the pair, Jigsaw is facing an enemy even he cannot escape.

Terminally ill and rapidly deteriorating, Kramer is confined to a makeshift hospital room where Amanda has abducted skilled surgeon Dr Lynn Denlon (Bahar Soomekh) and given her a particularly unpleasant incentive to keep him alive.

A device has been fitted around Lynn's neck that is linked to Kramer's heart monitor. If he dies - or if she attempts to escape - the consequences will be immediate and fatal. Her only hope of survival is to keep Jigsaw alive long enough for another of his elaborate games to reach its conclusion.

Elsewhere, grieving father Jeff Denlon (Angus Macfadyen) awakens to discover that he too has become part of Jigsaw's latest experiment.

Consumed by anger following the death of his young son in a hit-and-run accident, Jeff is forced through a series of tests involving people connected to the tragedy. Each confronts him with the resentment that has dominated his life and forces him to decide whether he is capable of forgiveness - even when saving those he blames may come at considerable personal cost.

But the games unfolding around Lynn and Jeff are not Jigsaw's only concern.

Amanda's transformation from victim to apprentice has given Kramer someone capable of continuing his work, but her increasingly brutal interpretation of his philosophy raises questions about whether she truly understands what he has attempted to teach her. With Jigsaw growing weaker, the relationship between master and apprentice becomes every bit as important - and dangerous - as the traps surrounding them.

Released in 2006, Saw III reunited director Darren Lynn Bousman with writer Leigh Whannell following the success of Saw II, expanding the mythology surrounding John Kramer and Amanda while exploring the origins and motivations behind several events from the earlier films.

Tobin Bell and Shawnee Smith return as Jigsaw and Amanda, with Bahar Soomekh and Angus Macfadyen joining the series as Lynn and Jeff Denlon. Dina Meyer and Lyriq Bent also reprise their roles as Detectives Allison Kerry and Daniel Rigg.

The new Limited Edition SteelBook presents Saw III on 4K Ultra HD alongside Blu-ray and is accompanied by an extensive collection of new and archive supplementary material.

Two newly produced features are exclusive to the UHD disc: Making Your Own Choices: Darren Lynn Bousman Looks Back, in which the director revisits the third instalment, and The Clock Is Ticking: Tobin Bell on SAW III, featuring the actor behind John Kramer reflecting upon the film. The release also includes three separate audio commentaries, bringing together director Darren Lynn Bousman, writer and executive producer Leigh Whannell, producers Oren Koules and Mark Burg, editor Kevin Greutert, cinematographer David A. Armstrong and executive producers Jason Constantine and Peter Block.

Saw III: Limited Edition SteelBook will be released on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray by Lionsgate Home Entertainment on 9th November 2026.
