One last deal to be done. The final series of Steven Knight's award-winning drama Peaky Blinders based is released on DVD and Blu-ray 9th May 2022 from BBC Studios.
The complete sixth series of the BBC crime drama follows the lives of a gangland family living in Birmingham in the 1920s. Named after their practise of sewing razor blades into the peaks of their caps, the notorious 'Peaky Blinders' gang is one of the city's most feared, with interests in illegal betting, protection and the black market.
Former war hero and brains behind the operation Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy), however, is eager to safeguard his family's success by making the business legitimate and is keen to expand the empire. In this series, beginning in 1933, the Shelby family react to the death of Polly, who was killed during the failed assassination of Oswald Mosley (Sam Claflin). The end of Prohibition in America and the rise of Nazism in Germany bring new opportunities and challenges.

Peaky Blinders first aired on BBC Two eight years ago, quickly becoming one of the channel's most popular dramas broadcast to huge critical acclaim and ratings quickly growing from over two million for the first series to more than four million for series four. It made the transition to BBC One for the fifth series in 2019, again garnering rave reviews, and achieving audiences of over seven million. It has been broadcast elsewhere across the world on Netflix. Throughout its run, the drama has won many awards including NTAs as voted for by the public, Bafta Craft Awards and a Bafta for best drama series in 2018.
The sixth series is written by Knight, Anthony Byrne directs having directed series five to great acclaim, and Nick Goding produces. Executive producers are Caryn Mandabach, Steven Knight, Jamie Glazebrook, David Mason, Anthony Byrne and Cillian Murphy.
