After a little white lie about losing her virginity gets out, a clean cut high school girl (Stone) sees her life paralleling Hester Prynne's in "The Scarlett Letter", which she is currently studying in school - until she decides to use the rumor mill to advance her social and financial standing.
Easy A was directed by Will Gluck (upcoming Friends with Benefits, Fired Up!) and written by Bert V. Royal (TV's "Gigantic"). It was produced by Zanne Devine (upcoming Mardi Gras, A Lot Like Love) and Will Gluck (Fired Up!, TV's "The Loop"). It co-stars Dan Byrd (TV's "Cougar Town", The Hills Have Eyes), Malcolm McDowell (Bolt, TV's "Entourage") and Alyson Michalka (TV's "Hellcats", Bandslam). It was distributed by Screen Gems and has a run time of approximately 92 minutes. It is rated 15.
