Open Season (2006)
Thursday 25th January 2007
In Sony Pictures Animation's first feature film, the family adventure comedy Open Season, Boog, a domesticated grizzly bear with no survival skills, has his perfect world turned upside down when he meets Elliot, a scrawny, fast-talking mule deer from the forest. Open Season is available to buy on DVD, UMD Video and Blu-ray from 12th February 2007, courtesy of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
This hilarious bunny-splatting adventure stars the voice talents of Ashton Kutcher (Just Married, The Guardian), Martin Lawrence (Bad Boys II, National Security), Debra Messing (TV's Will and Grace, The Wedding Date) and Gary Sinise (Forrest Gump, Apollo 13), as well as UK favourite Billy Connolly as the screwy squirrel, McSquizzy.
When Elliot convinces Boog to leave his cushy home in a park ranger's garage to try a taste of the great outdoors, things quickly spiral out of control. Relocated to the forest with open season only three days away, Boog and Elliot must acclimatise in a hurry. They must join forces to unite the woodland creatures and take the forest back!
Open Season features a forest full of added value, including the all-new animated short "Boog and Elliot's Midnight Bun Run"; Surf's Up! Preview (the next feature film from SPA), an exclusive sneak peek with introduction to the characters and DVD-ROM links that unlock never-before-seen content; "Wheel of Fortune" Forest Edition featuring Boog, Elliot and McSquizzy; and loads of other family fun features.
