Film fans who like their drama dark, sinister and crammed full of suspense won't want to miss The Lookout when it's released on DVD from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment on 28th April 2008.
This critically-acclaimed, crime-thriller masterpiece comes from the award-winning Miramax studio and follows one-time hockey jock Chris Pratt (Joseph Gordon-Levitt - Brick, Third Rock From The Sun) whose life is turned upside down when a tragic car accident leaves with him severe mental problems.
To make ends meet Chris takes a job as a cleaner in a bank where he becomes lured into a heist. In return for 'playing lookout', sinister crook Gary (Matthew Goode - Match Point) and his sexy sidekick Luvlee (Isla Fisher, The Wedding Crasher) promise to free Chris from his miserable existence - but nothing is as straightforward as it appears.
Dependent on his notebook and roommate to help him remember what to do, Chris has to write reminders of events and people just to get through the day. Wide open to exploitation, he quickly becomes a pawn in Gary and Luvlee's plan. But what if Chris clocked onto the fact he's being used and even attempted to stop the robbery?
Written and directed by Hollywood heavyweight Scott Frank (Minority Report, Get Shorty) and produced by Gary Barber and Roger Birnbaum (Memoirs of a Geisha, Unbreakable), this smart, gripping thriller is really brought to life by knock out performances from the entire cast.
Extras include 'Behind The Mind Of Chris Pratt' - an interview with Joseph Gordon-Levitt revealing how he researched and prepared for the role - and Sequencing The Lookout' - a fascinating insight into the making of the movie which looks at how the script was transferred to the screen, the cast was assembled, and how the movie itself was shot in Canada.
