The Catch (2023)

Abbie, early-twenties, brings her significantly older boyfriend Ryan to Cornwall to meet her parents, Ed and Claire, and grandmother, Phyllis.

Claire and Phyllis are completely taken with him and are happy for Abbie's new romance. But Ed instinctively feels there's something wrong with Ryan. Ed is certain Ryan is lying to them about who he is. Ryan and Abbie's relationship is getting stronger, the couple are going to move in together and Abbie is putting her plans to be a marine biologist on hold. As Ed investigates, he drives his relationship with his family apart and begins acting out of character.

When Abbie's ex-boyfriend is found dead, the police suspect Ed. Ed is certain that Ryan has something to do with it. What lengths will a father go to in order to protect his child? And could Ed's suspicions be correct, meaning the whole family are in danger?
