Jonathan (Ansel Elgort) was born with a condition that splits his personality in into two very separate identities - himself and his 'brother'. Ultimately, the two personalities coexist inside Jonathan's body. With the help of Dr. Mina Nariman (Patricia Clarkson), the two personalities have learned to control their peculiarity, until Eline (Suki Waterhouse) enters their life, causing Jonathan to break the one rule that has kept the peace, sending their lives into chaos.
