For Your Consideration (2006)

Director Christopher Guest reunites his star-packed team from A Mighty Wind, Best in Show and Waiting For Guffman in For Your Consideration a hilarious, keen-edged comedy set in a town where "Oscar® is the backbone of an industry not known for having a backbone".

Released by Warner Home Video on DVD 4th June 2007 the disc will include an audio commentary by writers Christopher Guest and Eugene Levy, and hilarious deleted scenes and outtakes. In For Your Consideration, buzz of a potential Oscar® nomination sends the cast and crew of the low-budget indie film Home for Purim into a wide-eyed frenzy.

Catherine O'Hara, Harry Shearer and Parker Posey play Purim's lead actors who ride the wave of buzz with odd and oddly touching results. Eugene Levy, Ricky Gervais, Jennifer Coolidge, John Michael Higgins, Jane Lynch, Michael McKean, Bob Balaban and Fred Willard round out the cast of Hollywood types more than happy to exploit the Oscar® hype.

Debut feature director Jay Berman (Christopher Guest), steers cast and crew through a typically tumultuous independent film Home for Purim, an intimate period drama about a Jewish family's reunion.

When internet generated rumours begin circulating that three of Purim's stars may be perpetrating Award-worthy performances, a rumble of excitement rattles the cast. Unit publicist Corey Taft (John Michael Higgins), talent agent Morley Orfkin (Eugene Levy), and producer Whitney Taylor Brown (Jennifer Coolidge) all smell the sudden potential for a sleeper hit.
