Caine (Tyrin Turner) learnt early how to hustle his mother OD'd on heroin and his father was murdered in a drugs deal. When Caine and his homeboy O-Dog (Larenz Tate) breeze into a Korean grocery, the anxious owner and his watchful wife find their imposing presence troubling.
Resenting the sharp-eyed surveillance and air of suspicion around them, Caine and O-Dog start haranguing the couple, aware that because they are young and black they can score some points through their fear. "I feel bad for your mother," the grocer says as the boys are about to leave. That is all O-Dog needs to hear, and he murders the grocer and then forces his wife to hand over the store's security videotape before killing her too.
Caine is shocked by this sudden violent development. He went out to get a beer, and now he's an accessory to murder. Back in the hood however, O-Dog starts to use the videotape for entertainment at parties, freeze-framing the moment of the grocer's death. But it's just a matter of time before the cops catch up with Caine and O-Dog, especially since Caine's fingerprints were on the bottle he dropped at the scene of the crime .
