Our Girl: Series 1 (2014)

Eastenders favourite Lacey Turner returns to the screens in Our Girl, a fantastic drama starting this Sunday on BBC One at 9pm, which comes to DVD thanks to RLJ Entertainment on 3rd November 2014 as Our Girl Complete Series One.

After passing her training as a British Army medic, Molly Dawes (Turner) is called up for service in Afghanistan. Leaving behind her a world of pubs and clubs, she must face a new reality in an unknown land thousands of miles from home, where everything she thought she knew about herself is tested.

Getting off to a bad start with her platoon leader Captain James (Ben Aldridge - Lark Rise to Candleford) and an encounter with 'Smurf' (Iwan Rheon - Misfits), a face from the past she'd rather forget, Molly soon becomes the target of her fellow recruit's humour and insurgent bullets.

A heroic act that saves a life earns Molly a new level of respect, but she is about to learn that not everything is at it seems, few can be trusted and every opportunity comes with a price.

Our Girl is a powerful drama about life on the front line, where lives can be lost in the blink of an eye.
