Sylvester Stallone heads up the greatest action-star cast ever, including Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren and fellow Screen Legends: Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke and Arnold Schwarzenegger - in the high octane and highly entertaining tale of a band of highly-skilled mercenaries who go all out to take out the merciless dictator of a small island.

Both the standard DVD and Blu-ray come with compelling extras that pack a punch and bring the viewer into the action! Each version includes newly produced features created in collaboration with director and star Sylvester Stallone and include unprecedented making-of access, as well as deleted scenes and gag reel, audio commentary with Sylvester Stallone and more.

Beyond the standard DVD, the Blu-ray includes the exclusive feature: "Ultimate Recon Mode" where Stallone and the other 'Expendables' provide a multi-layered, all-access look at the making of the film as it runs.

Also to be released: an absolutely awesome must-have limited edition three disc set in steelbook - The Expendables "Bullet Proof" Limited Edition Collector's Set, including not only the DVD and Blu-ray with all the extras included on the single formats, but also a third disc - a DVD featuring an exclusive 90 minute documentary: Inferno - The Making of The Expendables, which closely follows Stallone during the making of the film. This impeccable 3 disc collector's edition will have fans salivating over its irresistible steelbook casing.

Synopsis

Living life on the fringes of the law, The Expendables are a team of hardened mercenaries, led by Ex-US Special Forces agent Barney Ross (Stallone).

Consisting of former SAS blade expert Lee Christmas (Statham), hand-to-hand combat specialist Yin Yang (Li), long barrel weapons specialist Hale Caesar (Crews), demolitions expert Toll Road (Couture), and precision sniper Gunner Jensen (Lundgren), the team take on what appears to be a routine assignment: a covert, CIA-funded operation to infiltrate the South American country of Vilena and overthrow its ruthless dictator.

But when their job is revealed to be a suicide mission, the men are faced with a deadly choice - one that might redeem their souls... or destroy their brotherhood forever.
