Critically acclaimed and eagerly awaited Alpha Dog is released on DVD on the 20th August 2007 courtesy of Icon Home Entertainment. Inspired by true events, Alpha Dog follows three fateful days when the lives of a group of Southern Californian teens suddenly dead-ended.

Written and directed by Nick Cassavetes, Alpha Dogis a drama based on the life of Jesse James Hollywood, a drug dealer who became one of the youngest men to ever be on the FBIs most wanted list. Cocky and headstrong Johnny Truelove (Emile Hirsch) is living the wannabe's American dream as a drug dealer in the privileged neighbourhoods in LA. For Johnny and his crew their existence is a heady blur of partying and looking for the next thrill until Johnny is double crossed by another dealer. Their lives quickly begin to spiral out of control and an impulsive kidnapping leads to a shocking conclusion. For Johnny, the line between playing a thug and becoming one soon blurs, with very real consequences for everyone involved...
