Indie-rock loving misfit Bliss Cavendar is locked in a battle of wills with her mother who is bringing her up to become a beauty queen. Desperate to find her real place in the world and knowing that parading in pageants is not for her Bliss discovers a local female roller-derby league and soon swaps the heels for wheels!

Battling with rivals on the roller-rink is Bliss's way of dealing with her small-town misery and domineering mother and she finds a family within her skating peers as well as love with a local rocker. But Bliss's real battle is for acceptance, will she find it?

This heart-warming movie garnered rave reviews and is a ballsy but uplifting outing from first time director Drew Barrymore and stars a host of female talent. Full of thrilling, fast-paced roller-skating and brilliant, poignant performances Whip Itwill whip you into a frenzy.
