Snow in Paradise (2015)

Having been raised around other petty criminals, Dave (Frederick Schmidt) has naturally fallen into a life of crime himself, making a living from selling drugs. When he takes his friend Tariq (Aymen Hamdouchi) along on what appears to be a routine drug deal, it proves to be a grave mistake as it results in Tariq being killed. Forced to reconsider his life choices after the incident, Dave finds peace in the Islamic faith, but has difficulty escaping his past...

Based on the true story of Martin Askew, who grew up in the East End criminal underworld, Snow in Paradise, released on DVD on 13th April 2015 courtesy of Curzon Film World, is a hard-hitting debut from editor-turned-director Andrew Hulme, known for his work on Control, The Imposter, Red Riding 1974, Lucky Number Slevin & Gangster No.1.
