Experience pure animal magic as the enchanting and colourful adventure Two Brothers is released to buy and rent on DVD and video on 6th December 2004 from Pathé Distribution Ltd. Starring Guy Pearce, Two Brothers tells the moving story of two tiger cubs separated by fate, and their extraordinary journey home.

Deep in the heart of the Southeast Asian jungle in the early twentieth century, two tiger cubs named Kumal and Sangha are born amidst the ruins of a forgotten temple. They grow up surrounded by ancient statues, under the protective gaze of their parents. However, their serene dwelling is thrown into chaos by the arrival of the hunter and adventurer Aidan McRory (Pearce; Memento, LA Confidential), who has come to steal the Buddhist statues.

The young cubs are separated during the raid, and both grow up in settings completely in contrast to their temperaments. Kumal, the more timid cub, is raised in a circus and trained to be dangerous and aggressive. The initially bolder and more courageous cub, Sangha, lives as the house pet of a young boy, Raoul (Freddie Highmore, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Five Children and It), the son of the regional governor. Kumal's time in the circus is miserable, as he is forced to go through the motions of his act. Sangha's happier time with Raoul comes to an abrupt end when he attacks the family dog that has provoked him for so long, and the family are forced to give him up to the Prince's royal menagerie.

Months later, to entertain the Prince and his new fiancée, a fight is held in the royal arena between the Prince's tiger, and the star tiger from a nearby travelling circus. Now fully grown, the brothers are pitted against each other in a fight to the death. Although initially opponents, the tigers refuse to fight and instead attempt to make their escape

Directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud (The Bear), Two Brothers is beautifully shot and will melt even the hardest heart with its wide-eyed charm. The DVD is packed with irresistible special features including a director's commentary, tiger documentary, featurettes, baby tiger outtakes and a photo gallery. Make sure you pounce on your copy on 6th December 2004 for hours of furry fun for all the family!
