DVD Details
On 7th June 2004, join Hollywood legends Cary Grant, Audrey Hepburn, Walter Matthau and James Coburn in director Stanley Donen's Charade, released to buy on DVD from Sanctuary Visual Entertainment.
When A young American woman learns that her husband has been murdered she finds herself pursued by a sinister trio of men bent on retrieving a quarter of a million dollars supposedly stolen by the deceased. In desperation she turns to the CIA but from this point things only start to get more fraught.
Stanley Donen's Charade was one of the biggest international box office hits of 1964, with Cary Grant, after 3 decades, proving that he had lost none of his magic with audiences.
The charm of co-star Audrey Hepburn (Who won the Best British Actress BAFTA for this role) and the eye-catching Paris locations also added further first class ingredients to this gripping masterpiece.
All this plus an exceptional screenplay from Peter Stone (The Taking of Pellam One, Two, Three) and an engaging, Oscar nominated score from Henry Mancini means that Charade is a classic of sixties suspense cinema.
