Just My Luck

Details

Ever had a day when nothing seems to go your way? Or a time when fortune seems to smile on you no matter what you do? Just My Luck stars Lindsay Lohan as New York's luckiest girl, until a fated kiss sees her luck switched to Jake - the unluckiest guy in town! Featuring the feature film debut of boy band McFly, Just My Luck is the perfect feel-good romantic comedy, released to buy and rent on DVD on 13th November 2006 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.

Ashley Albright (Lohan; Mean Girls, Freaky Friday) is blessed with supernatural good fortune, has a promising career in PR, and a life full of glamour and romance. When Ashley steps out of her New York apartment the sun suddenly shines, she can always get a taxi, never fails to win on instant scratch cards, and everything in her life falls the right side up.

By contrast, Jake Hardin (Chris Pine; The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement) is the unluckiest guy in town, tormented by constant mishaps and missed opportunities. Chris is a penniless janitor working at a bowling alley who moonlights as the manager of up-and-coming boy band McFly, and is desperate to get a copy of their CD into the hands of a music mogul.

Ashley and Jake's paths cross at a masquerade ball, and, during an impromptu dance, they exchange a kiss which seems to reverse their respective luckiness. Ashley loses her job and meets bad fortune and chaos at every turn, while Jake can't believe his sudden good luck, leading to a record deal for McFly with entrepreneur Damon Phillips (Faizon Love). Although Ashley's best friends Maggie (Samaire Armstrong; The O.C.) and Dana (Bree Turner) do everything they can to help her, now that Ashley's ultra-fabulous life is going completely sour she is determined to track down Jake and steal her luck back! However, when their paths do cross again Ashley begins to fall for Jake, meaning she must decide between a lifetime of luck or love. Or perhaps it's what you do with your luck that counts...

Directed by Donald Petrie (How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Miss Congeniality), Just My Luck was nominated for three awards at this year's Teen Choice Awards. Fun, stylish and cool, the DVD is packed with fantastic special features including a casting session from the film, two McFly 'behind the scenes' featurettes, deleted scenes, McFly concert footage and profiles on Lindsay Lohan and Chris Pine.

Let good fortune smile on your DVD collection with Just My Luck on DVD this November!
