Riding a wave of anticipation and internet buzz amongst the horror fan fraternity, the aptly titled ghostly shocker Boo is finally released on DVD by Momentum Pictures on 23rd October 2006, loaded with extras including filmmakers' audio commentary, behind the scenes featurettes and deleted and alternate scenes.

Produced by David E. Allen (Dog Soldiers), Boo marks the directorial debut of special make-up and effects wizard, Cinescape editor and Fangoria writer Anthony C. Ferrante (Necronomicon; The Dentist) and stars genre favourite Dee Wallace-Stone (E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial; The Howling; The Hills Have Eyes) in a heartstopping and deliciously gory ghost story that manages to pack into its plot a chilling cavalcade of psychotic patients, possessed teens, a zombie dog, a terrifying killer clown, a ghostly little girl, rotting corpses, bucketloads of blood and a very dark and claustrophobic elevator that nobody in their right mind would ever get into.

When a handful of teenage college students decide to visit the abandoned Santa Mira Community Hospital for some Halloween high jinks they soon discover there is more truth to the rumours about the place being haunted than any of them dared imagine. Trapped inside the hospital by malevolent supernatural forces, the group crosses paths with a girl who was believed to have gone missing, her brother and his police detective friend. As tensions between the individuals mount and the true horror of their predicament begins to dawn on them, they realize they are at the mercy of a vengeful spirit who is determined to make sure nobody, except himself, gets out of the hospital alive.

A brilliantly atmospheric "old school" style shocker that thankfully utilizes its superlative special effects to enhance its many "jump out of your seat" moments rather than overshadow them, Boo is packed with countless nightmare-inducing set pieces and, as confirmed by acclaimed horror director Stuart Gordon, "enough scares for three movies."
