Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition

Details

Few bands have left a mark on heavy metal quite like Iron Maiden. Now, five decades of music, unforgettable performances and extraordinary success are celebrated in Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition, a feature-length documentary exploring the story of one of Britain's most influential rock bands.

The documentary takes audiences on a journey through Iron Maiden's remarkable career, from their humble beginnings in London's East End to becoming one of the biggest and most enduring bands in the world.

Directed by Malcolm Venville, Burning Ambition combines rare archive footage, interviews and personal reflections to explore the people, music and determination behind a band that has spent half a century doing things its own way.

Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition examines thier extraordinary journey through the recollections of the musicians themselves. The documentary features contributions from Steve Harris, Bruce Dickinson, Dave Murray, Adrian Smith, Janick Gers and Nicko McBrain, offering perspectives from the musicians who helped shape the band's sound and international reputation.

It also revisits earlier chapters in Iron Maiden's history, including the contributions of former vocalists Paul Di'Anno and Blaze Bayley. Their involvement provides an opportunity to reflect on some of the band's most significant transitions, from the raw energy of its earliest recordings to the changes that accompanied its continuing development during the 1990s.

Alongside the interviews, the film draws upon rare archive material and concert footage to illustrate the scale of Iron Maiden's achievements. From intimate early performances to enormous international tours, the footage captures the transformation of a determined young band into a global heavy metal institution.

Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition is released Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD (standard, SteelBook and Collector's Edition) and DVD from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.
