Amazon MGM Studios continues its journey into Middle-earth this November as the complete second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power makes its physical-media debut on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD.

Following the revelations at the end of the first season, Sauron (Charlie Vickers) has returned. Cast out by Galadriel (Morfydd Clark) and without an army or allies, the Dark Lord must rely on his greatest weapon - deception - as he begins manipulating the peoples of Middle-earth and setting in motion a plan that will ultimately give him the power to dominate them.

At the heart of his scheme is the Elven smith Celebrimbor (Charles Edwards). Taking on a new identity as the seemingly benevolent Annatar, the Lord of Gifts, Sauron gradually gains Celebrimbor's trust and uses his extraordinary skills to continue the creation of the Rings of Power. What initially promises salvation for the peoples of Middle-earth instead threatens to place their future firmly within Sauron's grasp.

Galadriel, meanwhile, must come to terms with having been deceived by the enemy she spent so long pursuing. Together with Elrond (Robert Aramayo) and High King Gil-galad (Benjamin Walker), she faces the growing realisation that the Three Elven Rings may be essential to their survival despite their connection to Sauron's plans.

Deep beneath the Misty Mountains, Khazad-dûm faces troubles of its own. King Durin III (Peter Mullan) is presented with a Ring of Power capable of helping restore the Dwarven kingdom's fortunes, but its influence begins to change him. Prince Durin IV (Owain Arthur) and Princess Disa (Sophia Nomvete) become increasingly concerned as ambition and the promise of previously unreachable riches threaten both their family and the future of their people.

Across the sea, Númenor is also entering a period of upheaval. Following the disastrous expedition to Middle-earth, Queen Regent Míriel (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) returns to a kingdom increasingly divided over its leadership and its relationship with the Elves. Pharazôn (Trystan Gravelle) seizes upon the growing unrest, while Elendil (Lloyd Owen) finds his loyalties and beliefs increasingly tested as the political struggle for Númenor intensifies.

Elsewhere, Isildur (Maxim Baldry), presumed lost following the battle in the Southlands, must find his way through a Middle-earth transformed by the eruption of Mount Doom, while Arondir (Ismael Cruz Córdova) continues the fight against Adar and his Orc forces.

Far to the east, Nori Brandyfoot (Markella Kavenagh) and the Stranger (Daniel Weyman) journey into the mysterious land of Rhûn in search of answers about his identity and powers. Their travels introduce new peoples and new dangers, while bringing the Stranger closer to understanding the part he may have to play in the struggle ahead.

As Sauron's influence spreads, the season's separate threads increasingly converge on the Elven realm of Eregion. With Adar's forces approaching and Celebrimbor trapped within Sauron's web of deception, the resulting Battle of Eregion brings some of the series' most ambitious action to the screen and pushes Middle-earth another step closer to the conflict that will eventually determine the fate of the Rings.

Developed by J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay and based upon the history of Middle-earth created by J.R.R. Tolkien, the second season consists of eight episodes and originally premiered on Prime Video in August 2024.

Now, for the first time, the complete season is heading to physical media as Amazon MGM Studios releases The Rings of Power - Season Two on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD.

Collectors will once again have the option of a Limited Edition 4K Ultra HD SteelBook, presenting the complete season across four UHD discs in exclusive SteelBook packaging accompanied by an outer slipcase and collectible art cards.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power - Season Two will be released on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD in the UK on 2nd November 2026 by Amazon MGM Studios, alongside the first physical-media release of Season One.
