The Old Way (2023)

Nicolas Cage western The Old Way is being released on DVD 13th February 2023 from Altitude Film Distribution.

He looks right at home in a stetson and duster jacket, strapping on a six shooter, in this outstanding new oater about revenge, mortality and family loyalty.

Cage is in fine steely-eyed form as Colton Briggs, an outlaw turned family man forced back into his sharpshooting ways and standing his ground despite being outnumbered and outgunned. The fine cast also includes cult character actor Clint Howard (Evilspeak), Abraham Benrubi (Open Range), Nick Searcy (The Shape Of Water), Noah Le Gros (Son of James), Kerry Knuppe (Heist), and hugely talented Firestarter star Ryan Kiera Armstrong.

Directed by Brett Donowho (Acts Of Violence), and beautifully filmed by Emmy and BAFTA-nominated cinematographer Sion Michel, The Old Way is Unforgiven for the 21st-century, a rip-roaring, guns blazing must-watch for fans of the unstoppable Cage, and films like True Grit and The Magnificent Seven.

The Old Way marks the first Nicolas Cage western of 2023 with Butcher's Crossing also starring Fred Hechinger (The White Lotus), Xander Barkley (The Walking Dead), Paul Raci (Sound Of Metal) and Rachel Keller (A Man Called Otto) set for release later in the year.
