Let your imagination grow as Universal Pictures (UK) reveals The Lorax will be released on 3D Blu-ray, Triple Play Blu-ray with Ultraviolet, DVD and Digital Download from 19th November 2012. The discs are also jam packed with bonus features, including exclusive mini-movies and games.
The animated adventure follows the journey of 12-year-old Ted (Zac Efron, High School Musical, 17 Again) from Thneed-Ville, as he searches for a real live Truffula Tree that will enable him to win the affection of the girl of his dreams Audrey (Taylor Swift). To find it he must venue out of town to visit the Once-ler (Ed Helms, The Hangover, Evan Almighty) who shares with him the story of The Lorax (Danny DeVito, Matilda, Batman Returns), the grumpy yet charming creature who fights to protect his world.
Other characters starring in this whimsical family adventure are financial King O'Hare (Rob Riggle, 21 Jump Street, Big Miracle) and Ted's wise Grammy Norma, played by beloved actress (Betty White, The Proposal, Golden Girls).
Long before saving the earth became a global concern, Dr. Seuss, speaking through his character the Lorax, warned against mindless progress and the danger it posed to the earth's natural beauty. The 3D Blu-ray means everyone can experience this vibrant and visually spectacular piece of work [created by the celebrated Illumination-Mac Guff partnership (Despicable Me, Hop)] in both high definition and an added dimension for the first time.
