Wednesday 17th July 2019
Killing Eve, the acclaimed cat-and-mouse spy thriller returns to DVD and Blu-ray as season two is released 26th August 2019 from BBC Worldwide.
This second season triumphs over sophomore slumps by bringing more chaos than ever. With Emerald Fennell (Call the Midwife) taking over as executive producer and lead writer, Killing Eve introduces new quirky characters, romantic European destinations, and fashionista inspiration compliments of Villanelle. The cat-and-mouse game resumes, but with more hilarity, blood, and sexual tension.
Killing Eve is the story of two women - Eve, an MI6 operative, and Villanelle, the beautiful, psychopathic assassin that she has been tasked to find - bound by a mutual obsession and one brutal act. Season Two begins 30 seconds after the final episode of the first season; Eve is reeling and Villanelle has disappeared. Eve has no idea if the woman she stabbed is alive or dead, and now both of them are in deep trouble. Eve has to find Villanelle before someone else does; but unfortunately, she's not the only person looking for her.
Award-winning actors Jodie Comer (Best actress, British Academy Television Awards) and Sandra Oh (Best actress - television series drama, Golden Globe Awards) lead the returning cast for the second series.
Based on the Codename Villanelle novellas by Luke Jennings, Killing Eve is produced by Sid Gentle Films Ltd for BBC America, financed and sold by Endeavor Content, with Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Sally Woodward Gentle, Lee Morris, Gina Mingacci serving as executive producers alongside Sandra Oh as co-executive producer. Emerald Fennell is the new lead-writer and will also serve as executive producer.
