Switch on a night of adventure when Night at the Museum 2 becomes a permanent installation on DVD and Blu-ray on the 9th November 2009 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. The action-packed film follows the thrilling adventures of Larry Daley (Ben Stiller; Tropic Thunder, Meet the Fockers) as he reunites with his eccentric museum companions to restore order to the world's largest museum - The Smithsonian Institution - and save the world from the evil designs of Pharaoh Kahmunrah (Hank Azaria - Run, Fat Boy, Run, The Simpsons Movie), all before sunrise.
The smash hit sequel to Night at the Museum offers twice the fun, adventure and comedy and picks up with the historical pals as they face their greatest quest yet. When the Museum of Natural History in New York closes for renovation the exhibits are downhearted to learn that they will spend the rest of their days deep in the archives of the Smithsonian. Facing a future without the tablet that gives them life each night they bid a sad farewell to New York and to security-guard-turned-billionaire-inventor Larry as they make their way to Washington. Trapped in the vast archives of the Smithsonian it's not long before the exhibits realize the move has gone disastrously wrong.
The tablet of Ahkmenrah was smuggled into the museum with them and is bringing to life some of the most notorious villains in history! Determined to rescue his friends from the historical crooks, Larry makes a courageous dash to Washington to face an army that includes the ominous Pharoah Kahmunrah, legendary mobster Al Capone, the terrifying Ivan the Terrible and military dictator Napoleon Bonaparte. Teaming up with old pals Jedediah (Owen Wilson; Marley & Me, Wedding Crashers) and Octavius (Steve Coogan; Alan Partridge, Around the World in 80 Days) as well as newcomer Amelia Earheart (Academy Award-nominated Amy Adams; Enchanted, Doubt) Larry embarks on a wild adventure to seize the tablet and save the world from the clutches of the evil warlords. Launching viewers into a never-before-seen world overflowing with side-splitting comedy and captivating adventures the film also stars familiar friends Teddy Roosevelt (Robin Williams; Mrs. Doubtfire, Jumanji) and Dr McPhee (Ricky Gervais; Ghost Town, The Office).
