The Deaths of Ian Stone (2007)
Tuesday 13th May 2008
Take Groundhog Day, mix in a bit of Final Destination and The Butterfly Effect and you get the recipe for The Deaths of Ian Stone. Released by Entertainment In Video to rent on 12th May and to buy on 26th May 2008, this imaginative and unpredictable science fiction thriller is helmed by acclaimed commercials director, Dario Piana.
The brilliant cast is headed by Mike Vogel (Cloverfield, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre), ably supported by such well known British character actors as Jaime Murray (Hustle), Christina Cole (Doctor Who, Sea of Souls), Michael Feast (Murphy's Law) and Andrew Buchan (The Fixer, Party Animals).
On an otherwise ordinary night, twenty-something Ian Stone (Vogel) encounters a mysterious creature and is forced into the path of an oncoming train. Rather than facing certain death however, Ian finds himself reborn into a new life that feels strangely familiar. Everyday the pattern is repeated as Ian wakes up living a different existence and, before the end of the day, meets a horrific death.
Ian discovers that he is at the mercy of Harvesters, alien creatures who feed on human fear. But what do the Harvesters want with Ian? And why does his girlfriend (Christina Cole) keep turning up in each of his new lives in a different guise?
Ian Stone had better find out fast - because until he can figure out why he keeps dying, the carnage will surely continue.
