The Royal Wedding (2011)

The stage is set for one of the most eagerly anticipated events in recent history - the Royal Wedding of HRH Prince William and Catherine Middleton. To capture this momentous occasion, 2entertain is publishing The Royal Wedding on BBC DVD on 4th May 2011.

Tipped to be one the biggest events in TV broadcasting history, 2entertain will publish BBC One's coverage of the Royal Wedding including commentary from acclaimed BBC newscaster Huw Edwards.

The Royal Wedding will be available to own from 30th April on iTunes in the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, France and Germany. A 50 minute highlights package will be available from 2nd May. The BBC DVD will be available on 4th May in the UK, priced £13.27.

The Royal Wedding is a fantastic keepsake that allows you to relive the magic of the special day again and again. The programme features two hours of BBC One's coverage, beginning with Catherine's arrival at Westminster Abbey. It includes the procession back to Buckingham Palace and the traditional balcony appearance and fly past, all with commentary from Huw Edwards who will lead the BBC's team of presenters. In recent years Edwards has been the BBC's anchor for major state occasions such as 2004's D-Day 60th anniversary, the Pope's visit, Trooping the Colour, the State Opening of Parliament, Festival of Remembrance and the opening and closing ceremonies of the Beijing Olympics and Commonwealth Games.

Since their engagement last November, the Royal Wedding has captured the hearts and minds of the nation. Follow their magical story in William and Kate A Royal Engagement, originally broadcast on BBC Two. Featured on the DVD and available to download, Sophie Raworth narrates the love story of the couple who are set to become one of the most famous married couples in the world in this insightful documentary. The DVD version will also include 20 minutes additional footage.
