Reign Of Assassins (2010)

Starring Michelle Yeoh, Xueqi Wang and Woo-sung Jung and produced and co-directed by John Woo, Reign Of Assassins is released on DVD by Entertainment One on 25th February 2013.

In ancient China, in a time of inter-clan warfare, Drizzle is the top assassin of a gang known as The Dark Stone. In order to escape from The Dark Stone and rid her life of violence and bloodshed, Drizzle decides to undergo a drastic procedure to alter her appearance, to change her name to Zeng Jing (Michelle Yeoh), and to move to the Capital.

Keeping a low-profile as a shopkeeper, she falls in love with and marries a messenger (Jung Woo-Sung). However, their peaceful life is soon disrupted when Zeng's identity as Drizzle is unveiled in a dramatic fight and confrontation with The Dark Stone, who will stop at nothing in their efforts to rule the martial arts world.

Reign of Assassins is co-directored by John Woo (Red Cliff; Paycheck; Mission Impossible II; Face/Off) and Su Chao-pin (Silk), produced by Terence Chang (Woo's regular producer) and stars Michelle Yeoh (The Lady; Memoirs Of A Geisha; Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon; Tomorrow Never Dies), Jung Woo-sung (The Good, The Bad, The Weird; The Warrior), Wang Xueqi (Bodyguards And Assassins; The Founding Of A Republic), Shawn Yu (Dragon Tiger Gate; Initial D - Drift Racer; Infernal Affairs), Kelly Lin (Sparrow; Triangle) and Barbie Hsu (My Kingdom).
