Kevin Costner is Lt. John Dunbar who, as a reward for an act of heroism, chooses reassignment to the Western Frontier. There, he becomes caught between two worlds as he is drawn into the loving and honourable folds of a Sioux tribe living in a small South Dakota territory. At first distrusted by Sioux leaders 'Kicking Bird' (Graham Greene) and 'Wind in His Hair' (Rodney A. Grant), interaction between Dunbar and the tribe is tense until 'Stands With A Fist' (Mary McDonnell), a white woman who has lived with the Sioux since childhood, is able to act as interpreter.

This powerful story follows Dunbar's romance, his friendship with an extraordinary race of people, and ultimately, the crucial decision he must make as white settlers continue their violent and ruthless journey into the lands of the Native Americans.

The winner of 7 Academy Awards® in 1991 including Best Picture and Best Director, Dances With Wolves is considered to be one of the most visually stunning and emotionally moving films of all time. This 3-disc set includes a magnificent array of special features.

Dances With Wolves on DVD brings cinematic poetry to the small screen and creates a rousing adventure, a touching romance and a stirring drama all in one. Make sure you discover the Dances With Wolves Special Edition DVD this October!
