Cheech Marin (Spy Kids, Once Upon A Time In Mexico, From Dusk Till Dawn) and Tommy Chong (After Hours, Yellowbeard), affectionately known as the iconic, hilarious, counter-culture, no-holds-barred comedy duo Cheech & Chong, are to have five of their movies released together in one set through UCA on 15th November 2004 in the Cheech And Chong Collection.

Discovered by music industry Svengali Lou Adler whilst performing stand-up in LA nightclubs, Cheech & Chong were a 70s and 80s phenomenon, with their first movie grossing over 100 million dollars at the US box office. Films that form this release are Cheech & Chong's Next Movie, Nice Dreams, Things Are Tough All Over, Get Out Of My Room and Cheech Marin's Born In East LA, which has never been made available in the UK and is exclusive to this UCA release.

Cheech & Chong's Next Movie is a zany comedy starring America's funniest stoners. Cheech loses his job and wants to spend quality time with his girlfriend and therefore sends Chong packing. But things don't work out for Cheech and Chong has all the fun in this movie about drug misadventures co-starring Pee-Wee Herman.

Nice Dreams, directed by Tommy Chong, sees the enterprising spaced-out duo living the high life after they rob a marihuana-growers crop. They plan to profit from it by devising a money-making scheme to sell home-made ice cream with a secret recipe that blows people's minds in this tale replete with midgets, hookers, nutters, nurses and body-builders.

In Things Are Tough All Over, the original high rollers hit the strip. Working as car wash attendants the dopey duo is given the job to drive a car to Sin City without realising that dirty money is concealed in the car. General madness ensues involving a cocktail of waitresses, belly-dancers, gangsters and porn movies.

Get Out Of My Room, directed by Cheech Marin, is a classic mockumentary directed by Cheech Marin set in LA following interviews of Cheech & Chong mixed with four video songs of from their last album. This outlandish film includes performances from Elvira's alter-ego Cassandra Peterson and legendary hell-raiser Jan-Michael Vincent (Big Wednesday/The Mechanic).

Born In East La is Cheech Marin's solo comedy effort. A parody of Bruce Springsteen's song Born in the USA, this film on illegal immigrant alienation co-stars Daniel Stern (Home Alone, City Slickers) and Jan Michael Vincent. Third-generation Mexican-American Rudy (Cheech) is arrested in a raid in the US. Never mind that Rudy speaks no Spanish; he's left his wallet at home and without identification he has no identity. Deported to Tijuana, he tells his tale to the immigration service, but its computer turns up only one Rudy Robles, an older alien with a record of arrests. Cheech is then forced to try and illegally enter the US in this outlandish comedy full of twists.
