Set 500 years in the future, in the wake of a universal civil war, Firefly centres on the crew of Serenity, a small transport spaceship that doesn't have a planet to call home. Captain Malcolm "Mal" Reynolds (Nathan Fillion, Saving Private Ryan), a defeated soldier who opposed the unification of the planets by the totalitarian-governed Alliance, will undertake any job - legal or not - to stay afloat and keep his crew fed.

The 4-DVD set presents the series entire 14 episodes as well as over 7 hours of extra features. Included in these cosmic disc extras are commentaries by directors, producers, writers, costume designer and creator Joss Whedon, 'Making of' and 'Serenity: The Tenth Character' featurettes, Joss Whedon's tour of the set, Firefly gag reel, Alan Tudyk's audition and Joss Whedon singing the Firefly theme.
