REM video director Peter Care makes an impressive feature film debut, assembling a superb cast comprising Hollywood veterans – among them two time Academy Award winner Jodie Foster (Panic Room, Contact, Silence Of the Lambs, The Accused) - alongside some of Hollywood's brightest new talents: Emile Hirsch (The Girl Next Door); Kieran Culkin (Igby Goes Down, Go Fish) and Jena Malone (Life As A House, Donnie Darko).

It is the 1970s and Tim Sullivan (Kieran Culkin) and Francis Doyle (Emile Hirsch) are best friends who attend the same Catholic high school run by the grim, one-legged Sister Assumpta (Jodie Foster) and the chain-smoking Father Casey (Vincent D'Onofrio). Along with their friends Wade (Jake Richardson) and Joey (Tyler Long), the boys are mischievous troublemakers.

When not antagonising Sister Assumpta, Tim and Francis are creating a comic book series, The Atomic Trinity, in which they imagine themselves as superheroes battling their motorcycle riding archenemy, Nunzilla.

But when one day Sister Assumpta seizes their artwork, the boys embark upon an obsessed trail of revenge that ultimately changes their lives.
