Produced by Danny DeVito and starring Samuel L. Jackson (S.W.A.T.; Star Wars; Basic; XXX; Pulp Fiction), Sign of the Killer is an unconventional murder mystery based on George Dawes Green's Edgar Award-winning bestseller "The Caveman's Valentine".

Once a devoted family man and a brilliant Juilliard-trained musician, Romulus Ledbetter (Jackson) suffers from paranoid schizophrenia and has left his wife and daughter to take up residence in a cave in a Manhattan park. Haunted by demonic visions, he is convinced he is being watched by a powerful and malevolent businessman from atop the Chrysler building. When the frozen corpse of a handsome young drifter is found hanging in a tree outside Romulus's cave, the police, including Romulus's daughter, believe it is the result of a tragic accident. But guided by his visions, Romulus is convinced the young man was murdered. Obsessed with finding the killer, Romulus becomes an unlikely detective as he determines to uncover the truth surrounding the man's death.

Samuel L. Jackson gives one of his best-ever performances to date in this unique and visually stunning neo-Gothic thriller from award-winning director Kasi Lemmons (Eve's Bayou), which also stars Colm Feore (Paycheck; Chicago), Ann Magnuson (Night At The Golden Eagle; Panic Room), Tamara Tunie (TV's 24) and Anthony Michael Hall (Edward Scissorhands; Weird Science; The Breakfast Club).

Sign of the Killer is released by High Fliers and will be available to rent on VHS and DVD from 5th April 2004.
