Ever had to leave your comfort zone because of circumstances beyond your control? Ever been faced with a dilemma so huge you just want to dive under the duvet and never come out again? Meet Dr Richard Clayton, a successful psychiatrist whose world comes crashing down when he is reunited with his biological parents.

Released by Momentum Pictures Home Entertainment and set for 7th August 2006 rental release and 21st August 2006 retail release, Relative Strangers is a brand new, outrageous comedy with a top notch pedigree. Written and directed by Greg Glienna (Meet the Parents), the film also stars some of Hollywood's hottest properties in the shape of Danny De Vito (Man on the Moon, Get Shorty, Twins), who also produced the film, Kathy Bates (About Schmidt, Misery, Fried Green Tomatoes), Ron Livingstone (Sex and the City, Band of Brothers, Little Black Book) and Neve Campbell (Scream franchise, Three to tango, 54).

As with Meet the Parents and its sequel Meet the Fockers, Relative Strangers is a laugh out loud romp about inescapable family ties and the nightmare scenarios that so often emerge. Love them or loathe them, you're stuck with your family, but what happens when you're confronted with a whole new set of parents? Double the trouble and double the laughs.

So if you like your comedy to be fast, furious and truly hilarious, get familiar with Relative Strangers.

Synopsis

Dr Richard Clayton (Ron Livingston) has it all: a loving fiancée (Neve Campbell), two wonderful, supportive parents, a successful career as a psychiatrist and a self-help book on anger management climbing the best seller list. Everything in his life is right on course, including a wedding date only a few weeks away. Until one fateful night when his jealous brother tells him the truth about his upbringing... he was adopted.

Enter Frank and Agnes Manure (Danny DeVito and Kathy Bates), a rude, crude and offensive pair who embody the term 'white trash'.
