Directed by Alexandre Aja (Switchblade Romance), and containing brand-new and previously unseen footage, The Hills Have Eyes is released on 26th June 2006 by Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.

The all-American Carter family holiday begins normally enough, as they drive across the desert en route to San Diego. Bob (Ted Levine, The Silence of the Lambs) takes a wrong turn, and once lost, the family is forced to stop at a petrol station in the middle of nowhere to ask for directions. The sinister attendant suggests they take a shortcut, and turn left down a nearby unpaved road...

A few yards down the "shortcut", steel spikes suddenly rise from beneath their caravan, bursting all four tires and leaving the Carters stranded and seemingly all alone. But the hills have eyes, and as the family decides what to do, the depraved inhabitants move in for the kill.

Mutated by years of radiation poisoning, these depraved creatures have a taste for human blood, and hunt down each and every family member. One by one the Carters fall foul of the mutants' bloodlust and axes, and the few survivors are forced to face their worst nightmares in a desperate attempt to save their own skins...

With Wes Craven (Red Eye, The Scream Trilogy) on board as producer, and starring Emilie de Ravin (Lost) as Brenda Carter, and Aaron Stanford (X-Men 2) as Doug Carter, The Hills Have Eyes is a must-see for any self-respecting horror fan. The DVD special features include director's and producer's commentaries, a making-of featurette and production diaries.
