A notorious group of criminals (Elba, Walker, Harris, Brown, Christensen and Ealy) continue to baffle police by pulling off perfectly executed bank robberies. They are in and out like clockwork, leaving no evidence behind and laying low in between heists. But when they attempt to pull off one last job with more money at stake than ever before, the crew finds their plans interrupted by a hardened detective (Dillon) who is hell-bent on solving the case.
Takers was directed by John Luessenhop (Lockdown) and written by Peter Allen & Gabriel Casseus and John Luessenhop & Avery Duff. It was produced by Will Packer (Obsessed, Stomp the Yard), Tip "T.I." Harris and Jason Geter (TV's T.I.'s Road to Redemption) and executive produced by Glenn S. Gainor (Death at a Funeral, Obsessed), Gabriel Casseus, Chris Brown and Morris Chestnut (Not Easily Broken).
It co-stars Johnathon Schaech (Prom Night, That Thing You Do!), Nicholas Turturro (TV's NYPD Blue, World Trade Center), Steve Harris (TV's Friday Night Lights, Quarantine) and Marianne Jean-Baptiste (TV's Without a Trace, Spy Game). The film features cinematography by Michael Barrett (Bedtime Stories, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang), editing by Armen Minasian (Armored, I, Robot) and musical score by Paul Haslinger (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans).
